LSDA, for example, is undertaking national research into partnership models for relating to the LSC and the consortium's work will constitute a case study for this, while NIACE co-ordinate a national network of voluntary and community sector training/learning consortia that we participate in.

Historically, South Yorkshire Voluntary and Community Sector Training Consortium has had close links with SYOF and will continue to do so in the future. The Forum has a central role to play in lobbying the LSC and other funding and regulatory regimes from the sector's perspective. The consortium will be able to both benefit from and inform this lobbying function.

The consortium is keen to build upon this partnership and to contribute to the implementation of the RDA's Regional Economic Strategy and Regional Skills Action Plan. We have already developed working links with the Doncaster Learning Partnership and aim to extend this to the 3 other bodies in the sub-region. The Local Learning Partnerships will have a significant role in co-ordinating training and education provision across the area. We will feed our plans into these bodies and also use them as a vehicle for developing broader partnerships with other educational agencies.
